Drake and 21 Savage‘s Her Loss dropped Friday, Nov. 4, and has already caused dramatic responses from other artists, including rapper DRAM.

Despite the LP getting great reviews in its first few hours, some lyrics have ruffled a few feathers. In addition to Megan Thee Stallion and Kanye West speaking out, the “Broccoli” rapper had some things to get off his chest about the Canadian rapper’s words.

On Drake’s solo track “BackOutsideBoyz,” there’s a line where he says, “Tried to bring the dram’ to me, he ain’t know how we cha-cha slide.” These aren’t subtle lyrics but more like shade because of some behind-the-scenes drama.

When DRAM woke up on the album’s release day, he receive news of the line and wasn’t happy about it. He was caught off guard by the former Degrassi actor calling him out because the incident he was referring to was a private matter from five years ago.

The rapper then posted a video on Twitter with the caption, “Woke up to some f**k s**t smh” to address the lyric and share his side of the story.

The German-born artist admitted he was the aggressor in a situation that led to Drake’s bodyguards jumping him. But he also made clear the Toronto rapper never laid a finger on him.

“This n***a never even touched me. N***a, I pressed his ass … I ain’t gon’ hold you, his bodyguards went to town on the kid,” the 34-year-old said.

He continued, “He ain’t touch me. He’s a b***h. You know that. Why I got to get into all of that? When I see him, I see him.”

Riled up about the situation, he suggested the two have a one-on-one fight, even tho he knows the “Jimmy Cooks” artist isn’t ready for that.

DRAM asked, “What’s good with the one-on-one, my baby?” He added, “What’s up my n***a? But he don’t want to do that. You want to have your guards. That’s cool though.”

Back in 2015, DRAM dropped his hit single “Cha Cha.” Not long after, the Certified Lover Boy artist released one of the biggest songs of that year, “Hot Long Bling.” The song included the same sample as “Cha Cha,” which had some fans originally speculating if the song was a remix.

Is Drake wrong for bringing a personal issue to the limelight?
