Keyshia Cole wants no danger brought into her family and has decided to remove her 12-year-old son, DJ, from Kanye West’s Donda Academy. The decision came because of alarming comments West made earlier this month about shooting up a school. The tweet has since been deleted, but not before several outlets grabbed their screenshots.

West has been put on blast by several celebrities lately for his antics, and among those celebrities is Boosie Badazz, who called out the rapper on Twitter.
“COME SMACK ME OR COME SHOOT ME. IM THE ONE THAT GOT BULLIED BY THE ENTIRE BLACK CELEBRITY COMMUNITY; NOW I’M BACK TO SHOOT THE SCHOOL UP,” Ye tweeted in response to Badazz.
Shortly after the tweet went out, Cole, once a DONDA academy supporter, felt uncomfortable and unsafe to the point where she had to act fast, according to Rap-Up.
Someone hit Twitter to question the integrity of the school and the people who choose to send their children there.
Donda Academy shut down and I have to ask… what kind of parent sends a kid to an unaccredited religious indoctrination center where you have to sign an NDA to enroll? For $15k/year? Who listens to Ye speak and goes “I’ll trust this man with my child.”

Another platform user tagged Keyshia Cole in the tweet, and she responded by saying her son is no longer enrolled there.
“I took my DJ out of Donda sadly after ye said he was back to shoot the school up; that scared me a bit,” Cole said.

Cole also noted that she was not required to sign an NDA by the mysterious school, despite the claims about this being a prerequisite.
“And there was no NDA signed,” she said. Idk who may have, but that wasn’t brought up to us.”

On the strength of West’s conflicts and drama recently, the rapper/designer announced that Donda Academy was closing for the remainder of the year. On the evening of Oct. 26, the school’s principal, Jason Angell, sent out an email to the parents of the students declaring that West decided to shut the doors immediately.

Not too long after that email went out, parents received another email from one of the parents stating that the school would reopen the following day.
“Join us tomorrow morning in worship for the return of Donda Academy. With the help of our parents and community, we are back and returning with a vengeance!” the message read.
It doesn’t look promising for the Simi Valley Christian prep school. Faculty members have been resigning upon learning about West’s anti-Semitic comments and untruthful allegations regarding the death of George Floyd.
As Blavity reported, the school is named after West’s late mother, Donda, and opened in August. With approximately 100 students enrolled, 50% received scholarships from West, and the others were said to have paid a yearly tuition of $15,000.
The school’s future remains unpredictable, as folks who were once supporters have decided to fall back.
