LeBron James continues to add to his growing media (mostly TV for now) empire.

The NBA superstar, via his SpringHill Entertainment banner, has sold a comedy project to CBS titled “Thankless,” under the overall deal the production company recently inked with Warner Bros. Television.

Currently in development, “Thankless” centers on a group of ambitious assistants who pursue their dreams at a sports agency in Chicago.

Craig Gerard and Matt Zinman (“How I Met Your Mother”) will pen the script and executive produce. James and his SpringHill Entertainment partner Maverick Carter will also executive produce,

This marks the third sale this development season for James’ SpringHill Entertainment; it joins an NBC family comedy set in Cleveland; a sports medicine drama series also at NBC. The company already counts the Starz’s dramedy “Survivor’s Remorse” as part of its growing library.

In terms of big screen projects, SpringHill is developing a sequel to “Space Jam, starring James.

SpringHill is repped by WME and Ziffren Brittenham.
