Ahead of the debut of his new HBO series, Random Acts of Flyness, a new report suggests Terence Nance has a big gig coming.
The Wrap reports he’s in talks to direct the long-gestating Space Jam 2, starring LeBron James in his major film debut.
James’ recent move to Los Angeles may have fast-tracked the project, which has been in development for some time. Justin Lin was attached to the film before. The script was written by Andrew Dodge.
Even before James was announced as the star, a Space Jam sequel has been rumored for years with numerous NBA stars attached. The original film, starring Michael Jordan, was a big box office hit, grossing over $230 million worldwide.
Other NBA stars are expected to star with James in the sequel should he decide to officially sign on.
