Nick Cannon is officially going to be a father for the twelfth time.

The New York Post reveals that Alyssa Scott — the mother of Cannon’s deceased son, Zen — has just announced her latest pregnancy in an Instagram post.

“With you by my side,” she captioned the cryptic post, in which she also held her daughter from a previous relationship.

Scott’s latest child brings Nick Cannon’s “baby count” to a grand total of 12.

But don’t expect the multi-hyphenate to get married again.

As Blavity previously reported, Cannon surprised the world — and quickly became a social media trending topic — when he did a surprise maternity shoot with model Brittany Bell.

But don’t expect the multi-hyphenate to get married again.

Speaking to The Breakfast Club radio show in an interview last year, Cannon called the idea of monogamy a “Eurocentric concept.”

“That’s a Eurocentric concept when you think about the ideas of you’re supposed to have this one person for the rest of your life,” Cannon explained. “And really that’s just to classify property when you think about it. When you go into that mindset if we’re really talking that talk, the idea that a man should have one woman — we shouldn’t have anything. I have no ownership over this person.”

His opinions of monogamy notwithstanding, Nick Cannon is living the dream of having as many children as he possibly can.

To help you keep track of the growing Cannon family — a family whose ancestor includes a legendary civil rights activist — we decided to compile everything you need to know about the mothers of his children.

Mariah Carey

You could say it was love at first sight because the coupling of Cannon and music sensation Mariah Carey took many by surprise. The comedian admits he always had a crush on Mimi. The two first crossed paths when Cannon awarded the “Honey” singer with the Choice Music R&B Artist surfboard at the 2005 Teen Choice Awards.

Three years later, Cannon would play Carey’s love interest in the “Bye, Bye” music video. On April 30, 2008, the duo officially tied the knot. The superstar couple welcomed twins Moroccan and Monroe Cannon exactly three years from their wedding anniversary on April 20, 2011.

The two separated in 2014 before temporarily reuniting in 2015. A year later, their divorce was finalized.

In her 2020 memoir, The Meaning of Mariah Carey, the R&B legend opened up about her whirlwind marriage to the former child star and why they decided to marry so quickly.

“Our desire to have children became a force of nature and why we got married so quickly,” she wrote. “He was a good guy. He was faith-based. He was ambitious. He had been in the entertainment industry for a long time, so he understood the madness. He paid attention to me.”

Brittany Bell

Brittany Bell and Nick Cannon share two children together — Golden “Sagon” Cannon was born in 2017 and daughter Powerful Queen Cannon was born in December 2020 — with a third on the way.

A former pageant contestant, Bell was born in Barrigada, Guam, according to the Miss Universe website. After winning the title of Miss Arizona in 2010, she went on to represent the Grand Canyon State in the Miss USA 2010 competition. In 2014, she competed for Miss Guam and won, representing the country in that year’s Miss Universe pageant.

Bell boasts degrees from Arizona State and Pepperdine, is a yoga instructor and founded the Mama Gang fashion line.

Abby De La Rosa

CNN reports the mother of twin boys Zion Mixolydian Cannon and Zillion Heir Cannon works as a DJ.

And, as might be expected, she had her own opinions about Cannon’s latest bundle of joy. E! reports that De La Rosa took to her Instagram stories to share a very special announcement for her new step-children. “Move over Kardashians! Gen “C” taking over baby!” she wrote.

It’s a good thing that everyone seems to be on great terms, though, right?
