When racism and bigotry trump the importance of your children’s education, they have reached exponential levels of wrong.

According to Fox 13, one teen is learning that the hard way. Kearsten Holley of Hilliard, Florida claims that her parents have cut her off for dating a black dude.

That’s right, “cut her off” as in, no more college funding support!

As such, Holley has created a GoFundMe account entitled, “Color doesn’t matter, college does.”

According to Holley, her parents didn’t approve her black beau, so they refused to financially support her college endeavors.

Holley said that she is shocked and upset about her parents' choice, and cannot understand the reasons behind it.

"Why? I will never be able to comprehend or see behind their beliefs on that," Holley wrote on the crowdfunding page. "I am 18 years old and my parents no longer support me, my future or anything I do because I choose to be with him."

Holley is heading to St. Johns River State on a softball scholarship, but one that isn’t a full-ride.

"Because of me not believing that my romantic interests is inferior due to his skin color I will struggle going to college," Holley said.

The reactions to Holley’s claims and subsequent decision to crowdfund her college expenses are a bit divided. Some users recommended she get a job or take out a loan while others were in full support.
