Lambert Releasing today announced that it would open the suspense thriller "Unsullied" – the feature film directorial debut of former Tampa Bay Buccaneers defensive end and NFL Superbowl champion, Simeon Rice – nationwide, on August 28, 2015.
Rice, a four-time All-Pro linebacker, is a graduate of the New York Film Academy and co-founder of Dreamline Pictures.
He directed the feature from a script he co-wrote with John Nodilo, which is said to be loosely-based on a true event, telling the story of Reagan Farrow, an athlete grieving over the tragic loss of her older sister, whose memory and inspiration helps Reagan survive her own life-and-death struggle, as she flees a pair of men who capture her and keep her hidden somewhere in the Tampa, Fl wilderness.
Starring as Reagan Farrow is Murray Gray. Her captors are played by Rusty Joiner and James Gaudioso.
The Dreamline Pictures production, is produced by Michelle Gracie, Ghana Cooper and John Nodilo.
“’Unsullied’ is a modern suspense thriller. I based it on the films I like – hoping to evoke some of the cult classics of times gone by,” said Rice.
