During its first few seasons was there a show as funny and as groundbreaking as In Living Color? Yeah I thought not. It was one of those few rare shows that you HAD to watch every week or else you were left out. The kind of show had to watch to see just what kind of inspired outrageous lunacy that they would come up with yet.

Well the Fox Network, in an obvious bid to get ratings and viewers, have decided to bring back In Living Color as a mid-season replacement with the original star and creator of the show, Keenen Ivory Wayans, on board as host and executive producer of this new resurrection.

According to reports it was Wayans’ idea to revive the show and the plan is for Fox to present two In Living Color half-hour specials to air as part of the network’s 25th anniversary celebration sometime during the mid-season with a series option behind them. If the two specials are a ratings success than the new In Living Color will then join Fox’s schedule as a regular series next season.

No word yet as to the cast or whether if any of the old cast members will be back for the specials, but let’s face it who could replace them?
