Lately we’ve had to talk about white privilege and horrible “excuses” people give for racism. Another issue that seems to continue to see the light of day is the constant need for some to make excuses for slavery. As if there is ever an excuse for dehumanization, degradation or humans used as chattel, some still think slavery was a great thing for the U.S. economy.
