2. Leslie Odom Jr. won best lead actor for his role as Aaron Burr in the musical Hamilton.

Odom made his stage debut at 17 years old in the role of Paul in the Broadway musical Rent. He also starred as Isaiah Sturdevant in Leap of Faith and appeared in the ensemble of the one-night Broadway concert version of Dreamgirls
