Jay-Z and Jeymes Samuel of the Bullitts are apparently scoring Baz Luhrmann's upcoming The Great Gatsby – according to a tweet from Samuel's himself, who promised that the score would be "too DOPE for words!"
If you recall, the first trailer for Baz Luhrmann's take on the F. Scott Fitzgerald work featured No Church In The Wild, from the Jay-Z/Kanye West Watch The Throne album, blasting at the intro; so maybe this shouldn't be too much of a surprise.
And in addition, according to Collider, the film's soundtrack may also include songs from Prince and Lady Gaga.
We'll have to wait to eventually see the soundtrack's tracklist, but it looks like it'll be quite funky.
The Great Gatsby opens on May 10.
By the way, Jeymes Samuel is also the director of the upcoming black cowboys western, They Die By Dawn.
