Attention all my sisters and brothers who identify as Black  (other than Rachel Dolezal), the next #Blackout day is June 21, this upcoming Sunday. The theme for this edition is “summer,” so y’all better get your sunglasses, coconut oil, and beachwear prepared!

 

 

For all of the people who live under a rock, #Blackout was created by Tumblr user expect-the-greatest to express the beauty of the Black population that is often left out of major publications and media outlets. To partake, all you need to do is take a selfie, post it to social media and share others’ pictures with the hashtag #Blackout.
