Queen Sugar co-star Kobi Siriboe’s celebratory tweet praising his roots and love for black women turned into a series of clap backs and the consensus that some moments aren’t about everyone.

So how could one tweet escalate so quickly? Twitter user Claire Palmer, who took offense to the post, responded that she would’ve appreciated a more "inclusive" message; one that included all moms. At this time, black women (and men) promptly moved to strike Palmer’s comment from the record and collectively respond with a “Bye girl” in the way black Twitter knows best.

Some of those comments included a swift read of Palmer’s response, where many felt like, yet again, appreciating black women was a problem.

Siriboe also responded by defending that black women do, in fact, deserve all of his praise:

And even included comedic interludes and snaps for the shout out:

And just in case you wanted to side with Claire Palmer to deter the conversation, Twitter had a response for you too:

Kofi took to his Instagram account to admit he was confused as to why when it comes to praising white women, there's no rebuttal like there is for black women. He also stated that he "shouldn't have to think twice when it comes to uplifting black women":

If #AllLivesMatter wasn’t already a tough sell,  black Twitter quickly dismissed any ideas about an “#AllMomsmatter” becoming a thing.

Go ahead and praise your black women, Kofi. We support you!
