Anonymous Content has optioned Kyra Davis’ New York Times best-selling e-book erotic trilogy Just One Night, with plans to develop it for television.

You can thank all the hoopla over Fifty Shades of Grey most likely. Or maybe you can thank Zane, who’s been doing this for a while.

All of Hollywood is on the hunt for its own erotic series.

The first book in the Just One Night series is called The Stranger, the second Exposed and the third Binding Agreement.

The series follows a woman executive who breaks out of her routine life when, on the eve of her wedding, is convinced by her best friend to sleep with a stranger in Las Vegas. Some best friend, right? Of course, it’s not all so simple. It never is, is it?

Here’s how the author describes it:

Kasie knows who she’s supposed to be. But one passionate night with a mysterious stranger will teach her who she wants to be… It was supposed to be just one night. But right as she’s thinking she wants more, he shows up in her office with an agenda. As the billionaire CEO of a company that’s engaged her PR firm, his demands just became her reality… and he desires so much more than just some attention in the boardroom.

A little about Davis:

A divorced single mother of a 14-year-old, she grew up in Northern California and studied fashion design and merchandising in college. After working as a department store manager for Nordstrom, sales and marketing for a sports club, she became a writer.

Her first book, Sex, Murder and Double Latte, was published by Harlequin in 2005, and would become the Sophie Katz Mysteries.

“… people who read erotica for the most part these days are women,” Davis told The Hollywood Reporter. “So they want sex scenes seen from a female point of view and focusing on things that excite and interest women, which is different from what excites and interests men.“

Anonymous Content will develop the books as a TV series, but no word on what networks they might be chasing to house the series.
