The incredible Serena Williams has set tennis courts ablaze for years, has broken major records and now will be immortalized on Nike's world headquarters for her unbelievable career.

As 2017 comes to a close, this latest bit of news is just another feather in her cap. She married her sweetheart Reddit founder Alexis Ohanian in an extravagant New Orleans wedding, had a beautiful baby daughter and now Nike will literally erect a building in her name.

When completed, the Serena Williams Building will be the largest structure at Nike WHQ, measuring at more than 1 million square feet and covering nearly three city blocks. It is expected to be completed in 2019.

Since 2003, Williams has been a Nike athlete representing the brand globally. And she often wore the Nike swish when she racked up her record 23 singles titles. Her work on and off the tennis court as a philanthropist solidifies her stature as one of the greatest athletes of all time and one of the most inspiring people in sports history.

Williams' building is part of Nike's planned campus expansion that will also see two more buildings built next year.

Keep on winning Serena!!!
