Plenty of Gen Zers and late-Millennials can recall utterly jamming out to the opening of Nickelodeon’s iCarly series, and some church-loving Aggies from North Carolina A&T’s gospel choir have revamped this beloved bop into a worship-inspired track.

The show’s theme song — titled “Leave It All To Me” — also serves as Miranda Cosgrove’s debut musical release; it notably features Drake Bell, who starred alongside Cosgrove on Drake & Josh from 2004 to 2007.

The opening is full of energy-filled fun, and it still carries plenty of bumpable potential, evidenced by it being reused for the show’s 2021 reboot.

Social media users also have a tendency to still geek out about how good the song is every now and then.

With so much hype surrounding this opening, the gospel choir at North Carolina A&T State University (NCAT) decided to revamp the track and make it their own by adding in some Jesus!

A video uploaded by two TikTok accounts — @callmelauren._ and @ncatgospelchoir — shows students at the North Carolina HBCU getting down and delivering a powerfully soulful rendition of the song.

“POV: iCarly the [gospel choir] way,” an on-screen message reads.

Soon, this upload may its way to Twitter, where it swiftly blew up.

“Not they turned the iCarly theme song into praise and worship,” the user who reshared the video wrote.

People on Twitter immediately began celebrating the gospel choir’s rendition of the song.

The inclusion of a Church Of God In Christ (COGIC) clap also had people laughing.

Others were utterly blown away by the creativity and innovation behind the remix.

We should also note that some people shared that they always knew the iCarly song had the potential to be a gospel track.

All in all, the internet loved the video, and it looks like we can expect the NCAT Gospel Choir to bring similar content in the future!

What do you think about this church-y remix, and what other beloved theme songs should be revamped into gospel tracks?
