The following was posted on the Disney ABC Talent Development & Diversity Facebook page earlier today:

We’re excited to share that acclaimed music video director Nzingha Stewart (Joss Stone, Eve, Common, Jay-Z and Fifty Cent) is about to make her debut as an episodic TV director. Though we’d like to think our Directing Program had something to do with it, we know that through her own amazing talent she has been hired to direct an upcoming episode of the cable show “The Game.” Congrats, Nzingha!!!!

Indeed! Congrats Nzingha, especially on this being your debut as an episodic TV director.

And for her next trick… Nzingha, whose name has come up a few times on this blog over the years (revisit the entire For Colored Girls/Tyler Perry debacle for starters), is currently working on a web series with Gabrielle Union starring (look out for it), and she was also recently tapped to write the script for Walt Disney Pictures' remake of the 1984 Garry Marshall comedy The Flamingo Kid, with Brett Ratner and Michael Phillips producing.

She's busy, which is good!

Of course, we're anxious to eventually see some of her big screen projects realized as well!
