While the world is in panic mode because of the coronavirus, Soulja Boy is finding solace in his investment. According to TMZ, the 29-year-old rapper invested in a soap business that is taking off during the crisis.

The Soap Shop, a Mississippi franchise, has gone from selling 100 bottles of cleaning products a month to more 3,000 bottles in the last two months.

“It’s just different businesses…once you get into the music industry, you know, branch out, do different stuff like try different things. Try different business ventures,” Soulja Boy told The Breakfast Club this week. “Everybody needs soap.”

That's especially true now as people scramble to find soap and cleaning products during the COVID-19 outbreak. According to TMZ, the rapper and his manager, CEO Miami Mike, have a specific Soap Shop branch in Southaven, Mississippi. That location has seen its profits triple in recent months, according to TMZ.

The "Crank That" rapper has linked his soap businesses to a charity known as Bubbles for Cash, which allows kids to sell soap and raise funds for community programs.

In his interview with The Breakfast Club, Soulja Boy said he has been staying low and focusing on his work while so much has been happening in the world.

"Just staying out the way, working on the album, working on the business, keeping everything together," the rapper said. "It's so much going on out in the world today, I just took a second just to pause everything."

Last year, the 29-year-old was under investigation for allegedly kidnapping a California woman. But the rapper said that case is now dropped and he is moving forward positively.

"Everything is good. That's why I'm out here working, trying to stay focused," he told The Breakfast Club. "Everything positive."

Soulja Boy added that he now realizes there are younger people looking up to him and he has to be careful about what he does. In regards to his career, the artist said he hopes to get into acting as well.
