The Tyler Perry high-speed rail continues to power ahead, full steam. Just try to stop it… that is, if you think you can!

The multihyphenate whose first foray into action movie hero territory, also known as Alex Cross, opens in theaters this Friday, is always 2 or 3 films ahead of everyone else it seems.

This evening brings news that Mr Perry is packaging his next project, a dramedy titled Single Mom's Club, which Lionsgate (who else?) is in final negotiations to distribute.

As usual, Perry will wear just about every hat – writing, directing, producing AND starring in Single Mom's Club, which centers on a group of single mothers from varying backgrounds, who are brought together via an incident at the school their children attend, leading to the creation of a support group that helps all of them overcome personal obstacles.

No word on other casting. And it's not clear if this will feature an appearance by Madea, since Perry is co-starring in the film.

All these questions will be answered very soon, since principal photography is scheduled to begin next month in Atlanta.

This will likely be added to Perry's 2013 release slate, which already currently includes 2 films – one he wrote and directed, but doesn't star in (The Marriage Counselor), and the other he only produced (We The Peeples). I'm sure there'll be at least 1 Madea movie in the mix.

And let's not forget he'll be busy creating and scripting new series for Oprah Winfrey's cable network OWN, in addition to the series already housed at TBS.

Hustle, hustle, hustle… I don't know how he carries this load.
