Little Murder, a supernatural thriller starring Josh Lucas and Terrence Howard, debuted earlier this year at the Palm Springs International Film Festival. The film has encountered a number of blows during production including crew members that were robbed by two shotgun-wielding teens while surveying an area for a shoot and complaints by actors as well as vendors who haven’t been paid.

Taking place in New Orleans, the film is set in the wake of Hurricane Katrina and centers on a disgraced detective (Lucas) who gets an unexpected shot at redemption when the ghost of a beautiful cellist solicits his help in finding her killer.

Directed by Predrag Antonijevic, co-stars in the film include Lake Bell, Deborah Ann Woll, Bokeem Woodbine, Michael Ellison, Cary Elwes and Sharon Leal.

No word yet on an official release date.
