The project Question Bridge: Black Males was one of the few selected for the inaugural Sundance “New Frontier Story Lab. The piece, directed by Chris Johnson & Hank Willis Thomas, is said to be a “transmedia art project that seeks to represent and redefine Black male identity in America.”

More on the “New Frontier Story Lab” from the Sundance Institute website:

“the New Frontier Story Lab, a new initiative to support artists and creators developing projects that explore the convergence of film and new media technologies.”

and

“…will focus on supporting projects that have original stories and engage audiences in innovative ways, across multiple platforms.”

As for Question Bridge…the full synopsis of the project is as follows:

Question Bridge: Black Males is a transmedia art project that seeks to represent and redefine Black male identity in America. Through video mediated question and answer exchange, diverse members of this “demographic” bridge economic, political, geographic, and generational divisions.
