Here’s what Kandi Burruss had to say after Phaedra Parks threw some shade at her former cast members.
Parks hasn’t been on The Real Housewives of Atlanta for five seasons. Her fallout with Burruss was the cause of her being booted off the show. She recently threw shade at her fellow cast members, namely her former BFF Kandi Burruss.
Parks says she doesn’t miss being on ‘RHOA’
Parks was famously fired following the season 9 reunion when it was revealed that she was behind a rumor that Burruss and her husband Todd Tucker wanted to drug and have sex with Porsha Williams. Despite fans’ request for Parks to return, Burruss is adamant that she won’t be on the show alongside Parks.
Instead, Parks will be featured on the upcoming second-season mashup of The Real Housewives Ultimate Girls Trip. She’s also featured as a guest on The Real Housewives of Dubai. Parks recently appeared on The Wendy Williams and explained why she doesn’t miss the Bravo franchise.
“I’ve seen her out – I mean, Kandi is a great businesswoman but [our drama] was six years ago. As you well know, I’m yachting in Dubai. So, you know, I’ll leave the girls in Atlanta on the Titanic,” Parks said.
Since leaving the show, Parks has been focused on acting. She also continues working in the lane of social justice.
Meanwhile, Kandi Burruss says the shade-throwing doesn’t bother her. In a recent YouTube ‘Speak On It’ episode, Burruss said of her former friend’s comment: “It’s okay, she’s a professional shade queen, and I don’t even take nothing personal, I don’t even care you know what I mean? It’s like – I don’t care, it’s all good. I’m happy that she happy in her life, honey.”
She also says she doesn’t care about Parks’ fans shading her.
She explained: “And whoever is liking a post where someone is shading me. Have you ever, honestly liked a post and you didn’t realize the person is shading and you realize later?” she asked.
“What I found in my llife is that when people do negative things towards me, I’ve been able to learn how to turn those negatives into some positive dividends honey, so I have become a master at it. So, I don’t care, shade me if you want. You gon’ have to shade me and keep watching me.”
