Did Saweetie clear up a past rumor while simultaneously delivering an awe-inspiring performance at Rolling Loud?

According to HotNewHipHop, that’s exactly what many people’s takeaway was, as Saweetie appeared to reference an alleged shopping spree Lil Baby supposedly treated her to last year while performing a new track called “Don’t Say Nothin.”

Rumors that Lil Baby dropped nearly $100K on the “ICY GRL” rapper began circulating back in November 2021, with Hollywood Unlocked reporting that the pair were spotted having a shopping spree in New York City.

However, Lil Baby appeared to shut these rumors down — as well as seemingly accuse Saweetie of clout chasing, as some of her social media uploads were used as evidence of the pair’s outing.

“Baby not dating NO ONE !! I’m Single,” Lil Baby wrote in a now-deleted tweet, according to theJasmineBRAND.

“B****es really be weird,” he added. “If you want clout use BABY.”

Now, Saweetie is seemingly bringing the matter back to life and clearing the air.

While on stage at Rolling Loud Miami, Saweetie gave fans a taste of an upcoming track dubbed “Don’t Say Nothin,” and some of the lyrics seemed to reference her situation with Lil Baby.

“Why n***as always speaking on who I’m f**king on? / He must have got excited when I FaceTimed him with nothing on / Same h*es that’s talking be the same ones I nutted on / 100K? You know much paper I be touching on? / That’s light, baby check my net worth,” the USC grad rapped.

“He got mad and told my business to the blogs? / N***a pause, I’m appalled, N***a chill out / Yeah I pull up and I bust and I peel out / Said he was a boss, but he talking like a groupie / I knew he wasn’t ready for this pretty b***h coochie,” Saweetie continued.

Saweetie hasn’t further commented on the lyrics, and Lil Baby hasn’t spoken on the track either. However, Saweetie did recently share a cryptic tweet that seems like it could be about Lil Baby.
