Snoop Dogg received a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, and he made sure it wasn’t a stuffy, boring affair.
During the ceremony on Monday, the rapper thanked several loved ones during his acceptance speech, including wife Shante Broadus, Dr. Dre and Jimmy Kimmel, according to People Magazine. However, the Dogfather definitely saved the best for last.
“Last but not least, I want to thank me for believing in me. I want to thank me for doing all this hard work; I want to thank me for having no days off; I want to thank me for never quitting; I want to thank me for always being a giver and trying to give more than I receive,” he said.

“I want to thank me for trying to do more rights than wrong; I want to thank me for just being me at all times. Snoop Dogg, you a bad motherf**ker,” he concluded.
He punctuated the honor with a celebratory C-walk.

Snoop’s friends also heaped praise onto the rapper, reports KTLA.
"You are not just an artist and entertainer, you are a visionary," said music legend Quincy Jones." You deserve this star on the Hollywood's Walk of Fame and every other recognition that comes your way."
Comedian Jimmy Kimmel also big upped the “Drop It Like It’s Hot” emcee.
"If there's anyone who deserves Hollywood's highest honor, it's Snoop Doggy Dogg," Kimmel said. "You crossed over color lines, you crossed over genre lines before almost anyone in hip-hop did that."
Plans for Snoop’s star were announced last Tuesday, according to Variety. Walk of Fame producer Ana Martinez praised Snoop for his multifaceted career.
“Snoop Dogg is one of those people who can do anything. He raps, he acts, he hosts a television show, he cooks and helps community kids with his philanthropic work,” Martinez said. “He is a man of the ages, and we welcome him to our Hollywood Walk of Fame.”
Snoop Dogg’s career jumped off in 1993 with the release of his debut album Doggystyle. He has released 17 studio albums that have spanned genres. His latest effort, a gospel album titled Snoop Dogg Presents Bible of Love, was at the top of the Billboard charts when it was released in March. He is also an accomplished actor who has starred in several flicks including Soul Plane, Training Day and Baby Boy.
