You never know what or who you’ll come across in a New York City subway.

1.

That’s particularly true for famed subway singer Mike Yung, who was pleasantly surprised to come across hitmaker Ed Sheeran while performing the star’s new single “Eyes Closed” at the Church Avenue station in Brooklyn on April 10.

Yung was singing the new single while waiting for a train, according to a video shared to @subwaycreatures’ Instagram page.

“NYC subway legend @mikeyung performed @teddysphotos new song ‘Eyes Closed’ and got a pretty cool surprise in the process,” @subwaycreatures captioned the video.

After singing a few bars, Yung turned to find Sheeran walking up to him from behind. The two singers embraced, with Sheeran telling Yung, “I f*****g love you, you’re great.”

“You’re the man,” Yung told Sheeran before the two started to harmonize in front of a small crowd.

After singing together, Sheeran offered Yung tickets to his show that night at Kings Theatre, which the New Yorker happily accepted.

Yung later shared photos and videos from the concert on his Instagram page.

“Thanks for the tickets bro the show was Amazing @teddysphotos,” Yung wrote.
