We try as hard as we can to stay on top of things, but occasionally something will slip by us… like this: last week it was announced that the 1991 HBO film The Josephine Baker Story, starring Lynn Whitfield , will be released on blu-ray DVD; though no official release date has been set as yet.

It’s amazing how time flies; that the film was made 20 years ago, back when HBO was the new kid on the block, willing to try anything to get an audience. Evidently they don’t feel that way today. Below is a brief trailer for the film.
