Prince, aka The Purple One, has always been a fascinating anomaly. And even with his tragic passing, his spirit lives on in so many ways.

Recently, Minnesota residents petitioned to replace their capital's Christopher Columbus statue with one of Prince … because duh.

As we wait to see if that will go up, we luckily have just received more ways to feast our eyes on Prince's unmatched image thanks to the artist's former art director, Steve Parke.

According to The Cut, Parke is about to release a new book called Picturing Prince: An Intimate Portrait. The book will be full of never-before-seen photographs of the icon, including 16 pages worth of pictures that Parke once thought to be lost. The book was released by Cassell on September 5.

Fortunately for all of us, Cassell has shared some of these photographs.

And we only have one thing to say: These photos, y’all!!!

Come through serene realness!

And, look at this smoldering smize, though!

And if the stunning images weren’t enough, Parke has also included vignettes detailing his relationship with Prince.

In the short stories, Parke recalls making prank phone calls with Prince, and even taking spur-of-the-moment midnight camel rides.

“Really, I’m normal. A little highly strung, maybe. But normal,” Prince once said. Prince's kind of normal is the kind of normal we think we'd all like to be!
