Selly Raby Kane is quite the mover and shaker. She's become a force that you need to know in 2017, especially after this big news has been announced.

The Senegalese fashion designer has recently been tapped to collaborate with the popular interior design brand, IKEA, to showcase and celebrate her "creative explosion." She'll be joining forces with other African creatives with this collaboration. IKEA's Head of Design, Marcus Engman, anticipates major growth for both IKEA and the artists involved from this partnership. "We want to learn from this and spread it to the rest of the world,” he said.

After leaving her hometown of Dakar, Senegal, the fashion designer is on the fast track to becoming a household name. Her designs have been already garnered tons of attention, most notably from the Queen Bey herself.

Kane also is the creative director for Design Indaba, an online publication that highlights the various art movements taking over the continent of Africa.

If you're ready to support the artist's collab with IKEA, you'll have to wait until 2019. However, if you're ready to support and spread the word, you can visit her website for more information!
