Two hosting announcements today you might want to know about…
First, BET Networks in partnership with Beverly Bond, CEO and Founder of BLACK GIRLS ROCK! confirmed that Tracee Ellis Ross and Regina King will return as the hosts of this year’s show. The “BLACK GIRLS ROCK!” special is dedicated to honoring exceptional women of color, and this year it will tape at one of the largest performing arts centers in the country, New Jersey Performing Arts Center, located in downtown Newark, New Jersey.
“BLACK GIRLS ROCK!” tapes on Saturday, October 26 and will make its network premiere on Sunday, November 3 at 7pm.
“We are so excited to have Tracee and Regina back as hosts of “BLACK GIRLS ROCK!,”” said Stephen Hill, BET President of Music Programming and Specials. “They exude elegance, intelligence, hilarity and glamour and we can’t wait to see what surprises they have in store for us this year.”
The first nationally televised feature of “BLACK GIRLS ROCK!” on BET, was presented by BET Networks and Beverly Bond in 2010. Now, in its fourth televised installment, last year’s celebrants included: Janelle Monae; Kerry Washington; Dionne Warwick; Susan Taylor; Alicia Keys; and human rights activists and doctors Dr. Hawa Abdi and her daughters.
BLACK GIRLS ROCK! 2013 will also air in the UK and several countries in continental Africa, on Tuesday, November 5th at 8PM GMT, on BET’s international network in the UK and Africa, reaching more than 17 million households in 50+ countries.

And second, CENTRIC confirmed that actor and comedian Anthony Anderson will host the 2013 Soul Train Awards, which will take place at the Orleans Arena, in Las Vegas, NV. The show tapes on November 8, 2013 and will air on CENTRIC and BET on December 1, 2013 at 9PM ET.
