Usher is having the time of his life right now. His My Way Las Vegas Residency is one of the year’s most anticipated shows, and his NPR Tiny Desk Concert is a unanimous favorite. He seems to be enjoying the resurgence of his professional life. However, he’s really in love with the state of his personal life.

On the latest episode of Angie Matinez’s IRL podcast, the R&B legend talked about his relationships and the path he had to take to get true happiness.

The singer, born Usher Raymond IV, has had some messy issues with the ladies in the past. His 2004 masterpiece, Confessions, documented the infidelities that led to the breakup with TLC vocalist Rozonda “Chilli” Thomas. The fallout from his divorce from his ex-wife Tameka Foster was widely publicized.

During the interview, Raymond expressed that his current confidence and happiness stem from having a “great partnership.” He got candid about his relationship with his current girlfriend, Jennifer Goicoechea. Goicoechea is the SVP of A&R at Epic Records and has been with Raymond since 2019.

Raymond recalls his healing journey to finding true love and how his two months of being single were difficult bumps along his path.

@TheJasmineBrand shared the clip from the interview where Raymond got deep in his feelings about his girlfriend.
