Just in case you didn’t know, PBS Masterpiece Mystery! will air the first of three two-hour episodes this weekend of BBC One’s Case Histories.

This intriguing mystery series, which stars Jason Isaacs as private investigator Jackson Brodie, and co-stars Zawe Ashton as his assistant, Deborah Arnold, will air on three consecutive Sunday evenings at 9PM ET, beginning Oct. 16. Episodes of Case Histories will also be available for online viewing beginning Oct. 17. Paterson Joseph (Peep Show, Survivors, Blood and Oil) also co-stars as Patrick Carter.

Jason Isaacs (Harry Potter, The Patriot) stars as private investigator Jackson Brodie, the tough former soldier and policeman with a heart of gold, in this series based on the acclaimed novels by Kate Atkinson. Brodie, haunted by a past family tragedy, struggles to balance his personal and professional life while coming to the rescue of the bereaved, the lost and the dysfunctional in the Scottish city of Edinburgh.
