Here’s the official theatrical trailer for a documentary we informed you about back in January called The Interrupters. If you’ll recall, the film premiered at Sundance film festival this year and has been on the festival circuit since then.
Directed by Steve James (Hoop Dreams) and bestselling author Alex Kotlowitz, it was shot over the course of a year and “intimately centers on 3 “Violence Interrupters” who work for an innovative organization, CeaseFire, as they try to protect the youth in their Chicago communities from the violent lives they once lived.”
The film opens July 29 in New York and nationwide in August and September.
