When Is 'Avatar: Seven Havens' Coming Out?

Avatar: The Last Airbender is an anime that premiered on Nickelodeon and has been a massively popular franchise for 20 years.

It's set in an Asian-inspired world where the plot of clan warfare is carried along by spiritual sorcery and martial arts action.

Though marketed to kids, the show incisively explores themes such as war, corruption, gender roles and class disparity. These bring adult appeal, along with critical accolades.

The series' enduring status as a must-see anime makes it no surprise that fans have been clamoring for a release date of the spinoff, Avatar: Seven Havens.

Avatar devotees will have to wait about a year for the new entry. It's just been announced that, barring production delays, Seven Havens will drop on Jan. 27, 2026.

Fan excitement is tempered by the franchise's past missteps, most notably the M. Night Shyamalan live-action adaptation which was a critical and commercial flop.

A previous spinoff, Legend of Korra, was well-received for its storytelling. It also frustrated fans as they weren't fond of the main character's perceived ineptitude.

The haphazard marketing and lack of clear messaging as to Avatar: Seven Havens' core story has left fans uncertain about what to expect.

Despite ambivalence, Avatar: Seven Havens will have a built-in audience when released. It remains to be seen whether it will retain the luster of the beloved original.
