Since Daredevil came to an end back in 2018, Marvel enthusiasts have been eager to see when the character would return to the spotlight. This year, Daredevil: Born Again has answered the call.
The series is part of Phase Five of the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
The revival follows Matt Murdock, a blind lawyer with heightened abilities. The lead character fights for justice through his law firm, while former mob boss Wilson Fisk pursues his political endeavors.
Charlie Cox and Vincent D’Onofrio are reprising Matt Murdock and Wilson Fisk, respectively.
D’Onofrio's character will be the main villain in the Daredevil, known as Kingpin.
If you're not familiar, Kingpin was also present in the Disney+ Marvel series, Hawkeye.
In addition to Cox and D’Onofrio, in 2023, Deadline reported that The Book of Mormon star Nikki M. James was cast in the show.
Marvel kept her role under wraps, so you’ll have to watch the series to find out who the Tony Award winner plays.
The late Kamar de los Reyes portrays Hector Ayala/White Tiger. The actor unexpectedly passed away in 2023.
In 1975, his character became Marvel Comics’ first Latino superhero and the first Latin American main character in American comic book history.
“Such a beautiful job he did with that character,” Charlie Cox shared with Blavity/Shadow & Act in an exclusive interview.
The series is now streaming on Disney+, with new episodes dropping every Tuesday.
