The lawsuits and allegations against Sean “Diddy” Combs have brought the rap mogul an influx of media scrutiny since he was first sued by ex-girlfriend Cassie Ventura in late 2023.
The alleged evidence against the rapper of physical and mental abuse, as well as sexual assault, racketeering and sex-trafficing have led to several documentaries and other deep dives into his life and his case.
In particular, the unnamed Netflix original produced by rapper 50 Cent, unofficially referred to as Diddy Do It is already generating buzz. Here is what we know about the project so far.
Fif and director Alexandria Stapleton told Variety that the story they and the streaming giant plan to tell spans decades and does not just follow the recent news and videos.
The rapper told Variety that they are committed to being a voice for the victims. He also said he wants it to be clear that Combs is not reminiscent of all of hip hop culture.
He also told the outlet he specifically should create the documentary on Combs as he is one of the only people in hip-hop culture that is producing quality projects.
It's worth noting that 50 Cent was accused of rape and physical abuse by his son’s mother, Daphne Joy Narvaez in a now deleted social media post in March 2024.
This followed Narvaez being named a “sex worker” in Rodney “Lil Rod” Jones’ lawsuit against Combs. 50 Cent denied the accusations and filed a defamation suit in May 2024.
A release date has not been announced for 50 Cent’s Netflix docuseries. However, with the story spanning decades, its release may not be affected by the upcoming trial.
