Sean Combs, better known as the rap pioneer and producer, P Diddy, has spent almost two years in a media firestorm. This began following many sexual abuse allegations.
"Me & U" singer and Diddy’s ex-girlfriend, Cassie Ventura, filed a lawsuit against him in 2023 for abusive behavior. Now, over 120 other people have accused Diddy of sexual misconduct like drugging and abuse.
In 2024, Combs' homes were raided by federal agents in an investigation for sex trafficking evidence. Drugs and over 1,000 bottles of baby oil (believed to be for his “freak off” orgy parties) were found.
The embattled entertainer is being held at Brooklyn’s Metropolitan Detention Center awaiting trial for a federal sex trafficking indictment. Despite numerous allegations against him, he's fighting back.
Diddy’s legal team filed a lawsuit regarding “defamatory statements” against him in NYC on Jan. 22. Attorneys are seeking $50 million, minimally.
The rap mogul has repeatedly been denied bail and faced scrutiny in the public. He is now attempting to take a stand against what he is saying are false claims that have defamed him.
According to Diddy and his team, defendants Courtney Burgess and his attorney, Ariel Mitchel, fabricated claims against and his reputation and that will unfairly impact his May trial.
Diddy’s legal team is holding the defendants liable for broadcasting their claims of possessing video evidence of him sexually assaulting celebrities and minors unchecked.
Burgess' credibility is being questioned as he wrote a memoir about Kim Porter, Diddy’s partner who passed, and has allegedly gained profit from his claims.
Combs has continually pleaded not guilty to the allegations made against him and seeks punitive damages. He claims that the alleged videos are made up and never existed.
Many people are awaiting his spring trial following the release of Investigation Discovery’s (ID) four part docuseries, The Fall of Diddy.
