Big congrats to Ya'Ke Smith whose feature film debut, the searing drama Wolf (which already has the S&A stamp of approval), on winning the Grand Jury Prize for the Panavision Texas Filmmaker Award at the 2012 Dallas International Film Festival over the weekend!
The prize includes a $30,000 camera rental package! Nice!
Will come in handy on that next feature…
Other S&A covered titles that screened at that festival and picked up awards include the New Orleans-set Tchoupitoulas, which was awarded the $10,000 Grand Jury Prize for Documentary Feature.
Overall, the 2012 Dallas International Film Festival showcased 83 features and 99 shorts for a total of 182 films from 27 countries.
