The National Association for Multi-ethnicity in Communications unveiled its 2012 NAMIC Vision Award nominees earlier today. The award honors original, multi-platform television programing that showcases the lives, essence, ethnic diversity and contributions of people of color globally. 

Leading the pack with 13 nominations is Turner Broadcasting System, Inc., which includes CNN, along with TBS and TNT – its network's brands.  Collectively, BET Networks and BET International garnered nine nominations. ESPN and ESPN Deportes, earned a total of seven nods, as well as HBO, also with seven. Oprah Winfrey Network's newly launched OWN earned five nominations, and Scripps Networks Interactive and Universal Television each garnered four.
