Everybody’s got zombie fever. Now even the Cubans. Here is the first peek (actually two different trailers) for what is supposed to be the first ever horror film made in Cuba Juan de los Muertos (Juan of the Dead). Written and directed by Alejandro Bruges, the film takes place 50 years after the Cuban Revolution, where the island is overrun by zombies that the government claims were sent by the United States.

So you have your horror mixed in with social commentary just like in a George Romeo film. Whatever might be the case, the film, looks likes it’s going to be pretty good, lots of fun and intense. I’m definitely up to seeing it. What about you?
