Anthony Anderson and his mom Doris Bowman are on the hunt for ghosts in the upcoming Discovery+ series House Haunters, part of the Discovery Inc’s Food Network, HGTV and Travel Channel’s Ghostober lineup.

In House Haunters, Anderson and Bowman will haunt unsuspecting house hunters, handymen, and real estate agents with practical jokes. Produced by the team behind Impractical Jokers, this six-part series will bring more of the comedy to Ghostober with pranks and gags. Nate Berkus and Jeremiah Brent, and Brian and Mika Kleinschmidt will also be unsuspecting victims to Anderson and Bowman’s pranks. House Haunters premieres Oct. 7.

Kathleen Finch, chief lifestyle brands officer, Discovery, Inc., gave a statement about how important the celebration of Halloween is for Discovery’s networks.

The month of October will feature a “larger than ever ‘Ghostober IV'” that is “designed to appeal to viewers who live for the creepy, scary, adrenaline-inducing stories that define Halloween.” Shows and specials will include Eli Roth’s Discovery+ series The Haunted Museum, Zag Bagans’ Ghost Adventures: Goldfield Hotel Discovery+ special, Bagans’ appearing on Food Network’s Halloween Wars, Alyson Hannigan hosting Food Network’s Outrageous Pumpkins, and Jack and Kelly Osbourne ghosthunting aboard the RMS Queen Mary in the Discovery+ special Jack and Kelly Osbourne: Night of Terror. Other series debuting during Ghostober include the return of Halloween Baking Championship and Worst Cooks in America: Halloween Redemption 2 on Food Network and new seasons of Ghost Hunters and The Dead Files on Travel Channel.

Over the course of the season, Zak takes inspiration from his collection of dangerous and mysterious artifacts from his Haunted Museum in Las Vegas to challenge the teams to create intricate cakes that are as frightening as they are tasty.
