Per press release from BET, more than 6 million viewers tuned in to watch the mid-season finales of The Game and the season finale of Let’s Stay Together, on Tuesday night.
The release doesn’t give a breakdown of that “over 6 million,” like what percentage of audiences tuned in during the actual season finale hours, and what percentage watched during the encore broadcasts of both shows.
The Game will return to finish the season on Tuesday, July 2, at 10pm.
The network also reveals that Being Mary Jane, what was to be its freshman hour-long drama starring Gabrielle Union, from the creators of The Game (The Akils), will make its debut on Tuesday, July 2, at 10:30pm, but in the form of an original movie – the movie that premiered at the Urbanworld Film Festival last fall.

NEW YORK – May 23, 2013 – More than six million fans tuned in to watch the mid-season finale of BET’s “The Game” season six and the season finale of “Let’s Stay Together” season three on Tuesday, May 21. BET Networks continues to dominate the competitive landscape for three consecutive seasons, claiming the #1 and #2 weeknight cable sitcoms among women 18-49 and two out of the top three weeknight cable sitcoms among adults 18-49. The #1 sitcom debut in the history of cable television, “The Game” will kick off the remainder of season six on Tuesday, July 2 at 10:00 pm ET. Directly following, BET Networks’ will premiere “Being Mary Jane”, an original movie from the creators of “The Game”, starring Gabrielle Union at 10:30 pm ET.

“The Game” is executive produced by Mara Brock Akil, Salim Akil, Kenny Smith and Kelsey Grammer.

“Let’s Stay Together” was created by Jacque Edmonds Cofer.  Jacque is also the show’s Executive producer along with, Dana Owens (Queen Latifah) and Shakim Compere.
