CALL TO FILMMAKERS TO SUBMIT FILMS TO THE 2ND AFRICAN FILM FESTIVAL AUSTRALIA

ENTRY DEADLINE: 1ST DECEMBER 2012

WHEN: 4th April till 21st April 2013

WHERE: Sydney and Melbourne, Australia

The African Film Festival Australia is preparing for its 2nd annual event and is inviting local and international filmmakers to contribute short films, documentaries or features for the Festival, which will take place in April 2013.

As part of an extensive film program of international features, documentaries and shorts, the Festival is also committed to featuring Australian and African filmmakers living in Australia and creating a space for the exhibition and celebration of films that relate to Africa or to African communities here in Australia.

In its inaugural year the Festival presented documentaries and features from Senegal, Sudan, USA, Uganda, Australia, Liberia, Democratic Republic of Congo, Sierra Leone, UK, and Nigeria with opening night film the Sundance Film Festival film RESTLESS CITY.

In 2013 the Festival will invite the opening night film maker to present their film at the launch of the Festival in Sydney. Also for the first time, the Festival introduces financial prizes of over $3000 to winning films.

Submissions can be made until the 1st of December 2012 by sending your films to our postal address:
