nullWe posted about this film last month, when Tambay announced that Danny Glover was slated to star in Supremacy, a film based on the real life story of a white supremacist who takes a black family hostage after killing a cop.

Supremacy, directed by Deon Taylor, who by the way is African American, will also star Derek Luke, Evan Ross, Lela Rochon, Joe Anderson (The Grey, The River) and Dawn Olivieri (she plays Don Cheadle's ex-wife on Showtime's House Of Lies). Anson Mount, best known from the AMC series Hell On Wheels, will portray the despicable villain and white supremacist.

In the film, Sobecki, a maximum security prison inmate and the head honcho of the Aryan Brotherhood, oversees his hate crimes from behind bars. He's the kidnapper's leader, and he's "not thrilled when he learns of his charge’s screw-up when he’s called in by authorities to negotiate with the kidnapper." The family is taken hostage in a night of terror as authorities seize the area where the kidnapper and his female accomplice are "laying low."

There's a rumor going around that Single Ladies' Stacey Dash was fired from starring in the film and is now replaced by Lela Rochon.

No word yet on the production's status or release date.

We will certainly keep you updated.
