Marvel Entertainment announced three new Marvel Rising specials at WonderCon. One will focus on a fan-favorite, Shuri, the princess of Wakanda! Shuri will be once again voiced by Daisy Lightfoot, who voices the character in Avengers Assemble. Letitia Wright portrays the live-action version of the character in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

According to the network, the 22-minute animated special will follow as “the lives of the Secret Warriors are turned upside down when faced with their latest mission: hang out with Shuri, the Crown Princess of Wakanda, and show her what it’s like to be an ordinary teenager. But nothing’s ordinary when you’re dealing with one of the smartest and most famous people on the planet.”

This announcement follows an animated special on Riri Williams a.k.a. Ironheart. Fans took Disney to task when that special was first announced, noting that the character had more Eurocentric features than her comic book counterpart.

There is no word when the specials will premiere.
