The first trailer for Disney+’s Marvel Cinematic Universe series, WandaVision, debuted during the Emmys, and there was a lot going on! The series stars Elizabeth Olson and Paul Bettany as the titular pair, alongside Teyonah Parris, Randall Park and Kathryn Hahn.

The official logline: The series is a blend of classic television and the Marvel Cinematic Universe in which Wanda Maximoff and Vision—two super-powered beings living idealized suburban lives—begin to suspect that everything is not as it seems.

Last summer, Parris joined the MCU as Rambeau, with her first appearance set in WandaVision.

Fans had been fan-casting Parris as either Rambeau or Storm for some time now. The first superhero to have the Captain Marvel name, Monica Rambeau is most known as Spectrum, a heroine who can manipulate and generate energy. Right now she is just set for WandaVision, but given Marvel’s massive slate, she is surely going to appear in many more projects, and hopefully one day, her own film. Akira Akbar played a younger version of the character set in the ’90s for 2018’s Captain Marvel with Brie Larson and Lashana Lynch.
