At the Shazam! panel at DC FanDome, the official title for the sequel was unveiled, as well as an alleged new cast member that has been added.

Shazam 2 will be titled Shazam: Fury of the Gods. For the panel, star Zachary Levi was joined by some co-stars, including Asher Angel, Jack Dylan Grazer, Faithe Herman, Meagan Good, Adam Brody and director David F. Sandberg.

Then, Sinbad joined the call with Levi asking him will he be in the film. While this may be one huge meta-joke, Sinbad’s is notable because of the running myth that he played a genie in a film that was titled Shazam. However, this movie never existed and is believed to be the result of the Mandela Effect following Shaquille O’Neal starring in a film called Kazaam.

During the panel, Sinbad said, “People think I was in that one too, ‘Shazam,’ ‘Kazaam,’ all the Kazaams, I’m relegated to the false memories of the Tide generation man. I’m going to work right now to rectify the situation once and for all with a big, prominent role in ‘Shazam 2,’ thank you very much.”

“I can play anything. I can play a good guy, bad guy, I can play Shazam’s trainer. And great news, David — I’ve already started working out for the movie. Check this out, man. I’m gonna look so good. I’ll even do nude scenes, a little booty, not a lot,” he said. One day, we’ll find out if Sinbad will actually have a prominent role in the film, but for now, let’s hope that he does!

The film currently has a November 4, 2022 release date.
