In the lead-up to Toosiiâs new album, NAUJOUR, slated to debut June 2, Khalid has joined the singer for the official remix of “Favorite Song.”Â
“Favorite Song” is the 23-year-oldâs first appearance on the Billboard Hot 100. On the remix, the duo intertwines Khalidâs crooning with Toosiiâs vocals to create an R&B song reflecting on the anguish of heartbreak as someone aching for peace.

â[Khalid] has such a dope and unique voice, and I think it really takes an already amazing song to the next level,â Toosii said in a news release. âHope yâall enjoy!â
Toosii initially gained attention back in 2020 when he signed with Capitol Records. He also joined South Coast Music Group, a Charlotte-based company home to several other North and South Carolina natives such as Blacc Zacc, DaBaby and TiaCorine.Â
Back in 2021, the platinum-certified artist released the 13-song album Thank You For Believing, which featured Key Glock, Latto and DaBaby. Then, Boys Donât Cry: Men Do dropped last November.Â
Since then, the âLove IsâŠâ singer has shared hits like âMagic Stickâ and a remix of âSnoozeâ by SZA. In 2022, he closed out his Beautiful Mind Tour with supporting act Rod Wave and opener Mariah the Scientist.Â
This remix of âFavorite Songâ comes on the heels of Toosii’s late-night debut on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon last month.
In an early roundup of contenders for âSong of the Summer 2023,â Billboard wrote, âToosii has a bonafide solo hit on his hands⊠the woozy R&B hook of âFavorite Songâ is definitely worthy of a breakthrough moment.â
Born NauâJour Lazier Grainger, the New York native is known for telling brutally honest stories of street life and heartbreak, detailing his journey from a lost kid to a worldwide sensation.Â
