Missed this announcement earlier this month…

Harold Perrineau joined the ensemble cast for the indie drama titled Sexy Evil Genius – a cast that includes Seth Green, Michelle Trachtenberg, Katee Sackhoff, and Billy Baldwin.

Directed by Shawn Piller (his directorial debut), Sexy Evil Genius centers on “an eclectic group of strangers who are invited to a downtown Los Angeles bar by Nikki (Sackhoff), a mutual ex-lover and possibly insane young woman who’s recently gotten out of prison for murdering her last ex-boyfriend. After Nikki arrives with her latest lover and fiancée, the morally-challenged lawyer who’s been handling her case, her current and former lovers soon realize they’re all caught in one of her brilliant, mischievous mind-games that may have deadly consequences.“

No info available on what character Perrineau plays in this; likely one of “Nikki’s” former loves.

Production is already underway in Los Angeles.

Perrineau is staying rather busy… he has roles in at least 4 yet-to-be-released films I’m aware of, all of which we’ve profiled on S&A.
