Ice-T's documentary (and directorial debut), Something From Nothing: The Art Of Rap, made its world premiere at the Sundance Film Festival, and was later acquired by Indomina in a world rights deal, for a June 15 theatrical premiere (in the USA), grossing $288,312 total.

It was released in the UK on July 20th.

In the film, Ice-T engages several of rap’s most influential artists in conversation about the craft of rapping – among them Chuck D, Snoop Dogg, Dr. Dre, Eminem, MC Lyte, Mos Def, and Kanye West – with the goal being to explore the roots and history of rap, and reveal the creative process behind this global art form.

The film is out on DVD and on iTunes as a digital download today. Extra features details follow, depending on format:
