A documentary titled Colored My Mind produced and directed by Nia Hill that follows five women (some or all you may recognize) and their fight against the rise of Autism Spectrium Disorders and exploring reasons for the inconsistencies in treatment and diagnoses, within the black community specifically.

The five women who “challenge the system to protect their families, and families that cannot protect themselves are Tammy McCrary, Shannon Nash, LaDonna Hughley, Donna Hunter, and Tisha Campbell-Martin. The film also features scripted scenes starring Blair Underwood and Nicole Ari-Parker.

A late 2011 release date is planned, according to the film’s Facebook page.
